My iPod tried to kill me, Tuesday, by shocking me through my headphones, into my ear, down my chin and into my neck. Good gawd did it hurt. That's what i get for naming my iPod, Demon.
I was gonna get some art done, but I've been having a pretty bad week. I really don't want to write about it, so just trust me when i say this week has been horrible.

I've been going through my comic, Demon. (Darth Mad comic) Made scans of some of the pictures and made icons out of them. I may have to go back and rework the first half of the comic. It's doesn't make sense... at least to me.
I REALLY need to fix my website.......

- We're finally, finally getting some rain
- I'm still juggling 3 jobs and scraping for cash, but hopefully it'll ease up soon
- Less than a month till Matsuricon, 5 weeks till AFest.
- Printed and sold out of the first wave of TJ & Amal 1" buttons, which was sweet. Making another batch soon, as well as (I hope) some stickers and a mini-book
- Necessity of paying work has kept me away from the comic, which sucks sucks sucks. I'm so behind.
- Am unreasonably bitter and downhearted about not being at SDCC this weekend. (My stupid brain says "hurr, if you were any good, you'd already be there, Comic Con's for real artists!" Shut up with your logical fallacies, brain.)
- Had The Black Cauldron on while doing some Photoshop work. Had never seen it before... clearly I did not miss much. Egh.
- Have started the resume dance again last week. Open to design work, clerical, and manual labor. No bites yet.

I leave this afternoon for a two week vacation. The first week is Family Reunion, an annual event in Weedsport, New York. It's nice because there literally is nothing to do. I tend to spend a lot of time reading or video gaming and swimming. The second week will be Cleveland, Ohio for my cousin Patti's wedding and I return to Colorado on August 9th.

I'm actually nervous to be gone for so long. I don't know why... maybe it's just that much of a sign that I need a vacation. mrotakki is going to be looking after my cats and fish, but I will miss them a lot. I'm sure they'll be fine, but will I be fine without them? GOOD QUESTION.

I am going to try to meet up with The Craiggers during the second week because The Craiggers is awesome. We shall see, though.

Anyway, I need to clean my desk so it looks like I actually keep order around here.

A Minnesota high school teacher has lasted 20 hours on a carnival ride to win the Ride the Tide Challenge at the Mall of America.

Fourty-year-old Jim Salava, of Oakdale, was declared the winner at the Nickelodeon Universe theme park when his final opponent stepped down at 2:35 a.m. Tuesday.

Salava was among 10 riders who boarded the Avatar Airbender at 6:30 a.m. Monday. The pool dwindled to three riders just three hours into the competition.

The Avatar Airbender averages 43 mph and reaches heights of 70 feet. Other than bathroom and meal breaks, contestants remained on the ride at all times -- even to sleep.

The top prize includes a family cruise, $1,000 spending cash and a lifetime pass to the theme park.
